The Athletic Director Excellence Fund provides crucial support for the areas of greatest need within the Sun Devil Athletics Department as identified by the Athletics Director. Your contribution to this fund allows us to provide a top-tier experience for our 650+ student-athletes as we equip them with the tools to become champions on the field of competition, in the classroom and in life.
Impact of Donor Support
- The cost for an out-of-state student-athlete to attend ASU for one year is more than $75,000 on average between tuition, team travel, equipment, sports medicine, food and nutrition, tutoring and academic resources.
- In the spring of 2024, ASU ranked ahead of Stanford, Cal, USC and UCLA for the third year in a row for Academic Progress Rating, which tracks achievement in the classroom year after year.
- Other metrics that show how much these hard-working student-athletes have achieved with your support:
- The average student-athlete GPA was 3.40 in spring 2024
- 43% of the senior class made the Dean’s List in the 2023-24 academic year
- 50 student-athletes across six teams were named to the 2023 conference Academic Honor Roll
- 165 total student-athletes received degrees in the 2023-24 academic year, with 58 graduating with honors.
