Sun Devil Athletics head coaches identify nutrition and summer aid opportunities as top priorities in maintaining an elite level of performance. Your gift to the Head Coaches' Excellence Fund will support these priorities and impact students participating in all 26 collegiate sports.
For student-athletes who attend summer school, the benefits are substantial. Not only does summer school help students graduate faster, it also helps them graduate! It allows the opportunity to delve into interesting subjects, focus without the demands of a long season and gather valuable real-world opportunities not offered to them during the academic year.
Impact of Donor Support
- The cost for an out-of-state student-athlete to attend ASU for one year is more than $75,000 on average between tuition, team travel, equipment, sports medicine, food and nutrition and tutoring/academic resources.
- In 2024, Arizona State ranked ahead of Stanford, Cal, USC and UCLA for the third year in a row for Academic Progress Rating which tracks achievement in the classroom year over year.
- Some more metrics that show just how much these hard-working student-athletes have achieved with your support: 3.40 average GPA (spring 2024), 43% of the senior class made the Dean’s List throughout the 2023-24 academic year, 50 total student-athletes across six teams were named to the 2023 conference Academic Honor Roll and 165 total Sun Devil student-athletes received degrees in the 2023-24 academic year, with 58 graduating with honors.
