This endowment supports the research interests of the appointee (faculty member). Research is to be in an area that impacts the community and pertains to the types of research that take place in the College of Public Programs disciplines. Examples could be juvenile justice, affordable housing, women's rights and political participation, public policy, nonprofit organizations, democracy, citizenship or conflict resolution. Funds may be used for anything the holder of the position deems necessary, such as support staff, travel or continuing education.
Impact of Donor Support
- More learners can pursue higher education. In 2022, 22,000 donors contributed $66.3 million for scholarships.
- More students succeed. ASU ranks #1 among the state’s public universities for its 86% first-year retention rate thanks in part to donor-funded student success initiatives.
- And donors helped ASU offer more than 4,500 hours of free tutoring.
