Economists study how individuals, groups, and nations manage and use resources. Students who choose to study economics not only gain the skills needed to understand complex markets, but come away with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as business acumen necessary to succeed in the professional world. In fact, economics can be useful for professionals in all industries, not just in business.

➤&�Բ��;Make the world your classroom. Study abroad in countries around the world, including Czech Republic, Ireland, Germany and England, while taking specialized business courses.

➤&�Բ��;More options. Economics majors can choose a minor and additional elective courses in a field that fits their career goals - for example, those with an interest in environmental policy can elect a minor in environmental studies. Business is a popular minor for those with career interests in the private sector. All students are strongly encouraged to discuss their career goals with economics faculty for guidance in choosing an appropriate minor.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Those with 50�Ȼ� economics degrees are prepared for career opportunities in applied economics, market analysis, banking, policy analysis or the social sciences. These careers can be found in the private and public sector.
